War Memorial seems a good place to start…

Arlesey War Memorial

…This one is in the Bedfordshire village of Arlesey.

Sticking with a theme of Remembrance, Here’s an ‘In Memoriam’ plate…

George Frederick Allison

…affixed to the choir stalls in St. Brides Church, just off Fleet Street.

On a more upbeat note, here’s a Common Blue Butterfly…

Common Blue

…And there’s always one of the stations in south London that takes its name from an area of common land…

…taken at Kentish Town in a time when I was a commuter too😅

Start of a new month and time to enter Brian’s Last on the card challenge😎

The Canon EOS5D mkIII had its last outing on May 5th for the Wingate & Finchley Youth Awards – It was also my last footie job for the 22/23 season. At the end of photographing the various award winners, Johnny – our senior youth coach, asked me to take this a group photo…

…Cue some banter – “That’s not a Wingate shirt” 😂 The young man (one of our youth players) has been signed up by the Crystal Palace youth academy – now that’s what it’s all about😎👍

On the Moto g50 we have a shot taken in Chipping Barnet on the day I went to get some new walking boots from Millets. This is a typically mobile phone wide-angle shot looking towards St John the Baptist Church…

…It was a good day out as I met one of my trainee photographers in Millets where he has got himself a job and he was able to sell me a nice pair of boots😂👍

Another of those ‘end of a great spotting day out’ shots for the FujiFilm X-pro2…
