And finally, a ‘P’ that no one ever gets to see…

…The Pot of Gold ๐Ÿ˜‚

Cee has once more provided a photo for her Midweek Madness Challenge with loads of options to illustrate with our own images. Some of those suggested are business, awning, bar, mocha, black, green, chair, table, reflection and rainy-day ๐Ÿ˜€ Yesterday was ideal because it was a rainy-day and that is going to be a theme in my entry.

Here is Dan & DeCarlo’s Coffee Bar opposite East Finchley station…

Dan & DeCarlo

…I know they serve a mean Mocha because I’ve had one. That’ll count for business, black, bar, chair, table, there’s even a green bag as well๐Ÿ‘ There’s also a reflection of the white door on the wet pavement. It’s still raining, and you can see some of the falling drops against black of the shop front. Ok – Job done – I can post now ๐Ÿคจ But I won’t, because there is more that I want to share ๐Ÿ˜Ž

That shot was taken on my way home from a Freedom Pass project trip – one which was somewhat damp๐Ÿ™„ I’ll be telling the full story in a different post but here I’m going to share a couple of other rainy-day shots from my outing, going backwards in time. So here are two City of London Police Officers on Poultry…

City Police

…I must clarify for anyone who is confused – they’re on horses on a street in the city called Poultry๐Ÿ˜‚ The female Officer is riding a black and white piebald. The cyclist on the left, is wearing black and riding a black bike. I wonder if he’d be waiting at a red light if the Police weren’t there?๐Ÿ˜‚ The rain had eased off at this point but the roads and pavements are very wet.

Earlier on and this was the wet scene at Clapham Junction where it was raining quite heavily…

5915 at Clapham Junction

…something you can see against the red of the train on the left. Most passengers are sheltering under the platform awning. The front of unit 5915, one of South Western Railway’s surviving class 455’s, shows the black rubber surround of the gangway connection.

Finally, the epitome of a rainy day. At Wandsworth Road, everything in the distance is blurred by the amount of water in the air…

Rainy Day

…and I’m getting wet! The things we do for our hobbies ๐Ÿคฃ

All shots taken on Friday May 20th 2022.
