Start of a new month and time to enter Brian’s Last on the card challenge😎

The Canon EOS5D mkIII had its last outing on May 5th for the Wingate & Finchley Youth Awards – It was also my last footie job for the 22/23 season. At the end of photographing the various award winners, Johnny – our senior youth coach, asked me to take this a group photo…

…Cue some banter – “That’s not a Wingate shirt” 😂 The young man (one of our youth players) has been signed up by the Crystal Palace youth academy – now that’s what it’s all about😎👍

On the Moto g50 we have a shot taken in Chipping Barnet on the day I went to get some new walking boots from Millets. This is a typically mobile phone wide-angle shot looking towards St John the Baptist Church…

…It was a good day out as I met one of my trainee photographers in Millets where he has got himself a job and he was able to sell me a nice pair of boots😂👍

Another of those ‘end of a great spotting day out’ shots for the FujiFilm X-pro2…

…Comfrey with an attendant Bee taken in Brent Park.

All shots as taken – just resized for the web.

I’m actually posting this on time – if there is such a thing in the WordPressiverse 😂 This Midweek Madness Challenge should be quite easy but there’s always some room for misinterpretation 🤣👍

Lets go for the easy start – Here’s a Train…

377435 at Clapham Junction

…and standing next to the cab, talking to the driver, is the Dispatcher – a key member of staff on busy platforms like at Clapham Junction to ensure passenger safety.

You can usually rely on plants for this sort of challenge – Here’s a Scabious flower…

Scabious

…and, although the name suggests it’s blue, it looks very Lilac to me!

Here’s Oliver…

Oliver Tambo

…Exiled from his native South Africa, Oliver Tambo made his home in Muswell Hill and fought the political battle against the Apartheid South African Regime from there.

Lets finish on a bright note – a vivid Pink…

Pink Rhododendron

I’ve gone all floral for Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge this time and every shot was taken with the Moto g50😀

All floral doesn’t necessarily mean flowers though – lets kick off with the gardener’s arch enemy…

Dandelion Seedhead

And here’s a plant that is on the UK’s schedule 9 as an invasive species – Three-Cornered Leek…

Three-Cornered Leek

It seems many plants in early May have white flowers but here’s an invader of my garden, a Periwinkle…

Periwinkle

Finally, we can’t be in May without photographing some May…
