Ok – Brian gives us this challenge each month and sometimes I miss out because of… well, computing issues, life, errr, all sorts of silly things? I’m just glad that I stumbled across another entry to this challenge which reminded me to take part 🙂 So for this month’s Last on Card from the Canon EOS 5D mkiii, I have, as ever, a football shot. It’s one of those end of a game shots that has nothing going on. Our player, Luke, has just knocked the ball back from the bye-line and the ref was about to blow time…
Last on the card from the Fujifilm X-Pro2 was a sunrise shot taken at dawn, early in the month. Sometimes finding time to do photography is hard – hopefully the new year will see the Fuji working a lot more:-) …

For Brian’s Last on the Card challenge this month we have a juvenile Herring Gull…
…It had been playing with the water bottle on the path but as we approached it stepped back behind the rope fence. It then started pulling at the rope, so I took some shots of it playing. This was the last one and I think we’d both had enough of the game by then – I was probably already mentally taking the camera away from my eye as it has camera shake 😉 Taken at Kew Gardens with the Fujifilm X-Pro2 on 21/09
Last shot on the Canon 5D mkIII was taken at Bromley FC’s ground where we had just completed a 5-3 win over Cray Wanderers. It shows a group of our players approaching the fans…

It’s good to be doing Brian’s Last on the Card challenge so close to the start of the new month for a change! 🙂
First up, from the Canon EOS 5D, the last shot from Wingate & Finchley’s away win at Leatherhead…
…That was taken on the 21st. I would normally have been at our home game on the 30th but was at a family gathering instead.
From the Fujifilm X-Pro2, one of our local buses grinds its way up Long Lane towards Finchley Central…
…There is potential for a good shot here if I catch the bus further down the hill so that the line of terraced houses on the right is more a part of the composition. Exposure will always be an issue as it will be a contre-jour shot all day. I’ll be hoping to revisit this one in future 🙂
