Start of a new month and time to take part in Brian’s Last on the Card challenge.

I joked with Brian that I would be sending 2 football shots this month because I changed cameras late in the month. I’ll start with the Canon EOS5D mkIII and a nothing shot at the end of a 2-2 draw at East Thurrock…

For the next match I had to use the Canon EOS7D mkII as I had to take the awards night shots after the game and needed to have fill-in-flash available. I kept that camera for the last game of the season against Hornchurch because it has longer reach due to the APS-C crop factor and Hornchurch’s ground is surrounded by a running track. We beat them 2-1 and this is a shot of the players celebrating the end of the match and the season…

…Survived for another year! πŸ˜€πŸ‘

On the Fuji X-Pro2 I was sorting out some shots for Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge. I had some bottle tops with stars but, as there was camera shake, I discarded the shot…

Finally, on the Moto g50. Catching a wonderful event as Wingate & Finchley welcome a new fan to the fold…

I guess that merits a “Congratulations on your addition to Squad”πŸ‘ Oh! and apologies to Brian – that’s 3 football shots from last month πŸ˜‚

Time to once again show our end of reel shots for Brian’s Last on the Card Challenge. This month we have football – no surprise there then…

…Curses, I’ve been spotted πŸ˜‰ – our Goalkeeper Ben leaving the field after a hard fought 2-0 win. Tricksy lighting at the end of the day and the floodlights don’t cover the tunnel area. That’s the Canon EOS 5D mkiii

The Fujifilm X-Pro2 had a far easier job taking a shot for something that I intend to be posting about later this week…

A South Western Railway class 455 unit at Waterloo.

Finally, making its debut, the Motorola g50 and a shot taken on my road as I made my way back from the shops yesterday (31/01/2022)…

…some cropping planned on that before it gets posted for real πŸ˜‰

All images unaltered – just resized for the web.

Ok – Brian gives us this challenge each month and sometimes I miss out because of… well, computing issues, life, errr, all sorts of silly things? I’m just glad that I stumbled across another entry to this challenge which reminded me to take part πŸ™‚ So for this month’s Last on Card from the Canon EOS 5D mkiii, I have, as ever, a football shot. It’s one of those end of a game shots that has nothing going on. Our player, Luke, has just knocked the ball back from the bye-line and the ref was about to blow time…

Last on the card from the Fujifilm X-Pro2 was a sunrise shot taken at dawn, early in the month. Sometimes finding time to do photography is hard – hopefully the new year will see the Fuji working a lot more:-) …

As usual, both shots are unaltered except for being resized for the internet.
