Jumping for Joy

I didn’t have any suitable material for the second week of Cee’s On the Hunt for Joy challenge where we needed to Jump… I don’t jump very well these days ;-( But last Saturday I had the chance to catch a couple of suitable images at our the Wingate & Finchley vs East Thurrock match. Here’s a young mascot jumping for joy as he leaves the pitch after leading out the teams…

It was a day of joy all round as the team recorded a second league win in a row! Here’s Kane jumping over the other players during the celebration of Tage scoring an equalising goal……after which Charlie would go on to get the winner.

Last photo for January 2020

Once again the last photo on my card is a football shot. On 28th January Wingate & Finchley played Brentford B in the Middlesex Senior Cup. Despite Wingate having the worst season that I can remember and Brentford being a higher division side, it was a well fought game and a match that any visiting neutral fan would have enjoyed. The B’s nicked a goal early in the second half and probably had more clear-cut chances on goal than Wingate but overall it was a better performance by The Blues than of late. My last shot shows one of the Brentford players walking off the pitch with Luke in a commiseratory chat after the final whistle…

Only changes to the image are resizing for the web. For those with an interest in the tech details – Canon EOS 5D mkIII with EF 70-200mm lens, ISO16000, 1/1250th at f2.8

Last Photo on SD Card

Taking up the challenge from Bushboy to show the last image on the SD card. I used two different cameras yesterday, so here’s 2 shots. Both have only been resized.

This first image is actually from a Compact Flash card as I am using a Canon 5D. This was the last shot from yesterday’s football match and represents the many ‘nothing’ shots that are captured during any match…
…It’s also quite typical that the camera has lost interest in the players and decided it likes the advertising hoardings behind them much better – a common problem when the sun goes down and you’re taking action shots.

Taken earlier in the day on my way to the match, here is 465920 at Herne Hill where I was waiting for a train to Bromley South…..This time it is from an SD card as I took this with the Fujifilm X-Pro2.
