I think we’ll go in reverse order…

Independent – A term used by bus enthusiasts for any operator outside of corporations, transport executives and the national bus company – In Doncaster you could find lots of South Yorkshire PTE buses and some independent operators…

…Like this Leon’s bus sandwiched between two South Yorkshire PTE vehicles.

Last on the Card – May 2023

Start of a new month and time to enter Brian’s Last on the card challenge😎

The Canon EOS5D mkIII had its last outing on May 5th for the Wingate & Finchley Youth Awards – It was also my last footie job for the 22/23 season. At the end of photographing the various award winners, Johnny – our senior youth coach, asked me to take this a group photo…

…Cue some banter – “That’s not a Wingate shirt” 😂 The young man (one of our youth players) has been signed up by the Crystal Palace youth academy – now that’s what it’s all about😎👍

On the Moto g50 we have a shot taken in Chipping Barnet on the day I went to get some new walking boots from Millets. This is a typically mobile phone wide-angle shot looking towards St John the Baptist Church…

…It was a good day out as I met one of my trainee photographers in Millets where he has got himself a job and he was able to sell me a nice pair of boots😂👍

I’m actually posting this on time – if there is such a thing in the WordPressiverse 😂 This Midweek Madness Challenge should be quite easy but there’s always some room for misinterpretation 🤣👍

Lets go for the easy start – Here’s a Train…

…and standing next to the cab, talking to the driver, is the Dispatcher – a key member of staff on busy platforms like at Clapham Junction to ensure passenger safety.

You can usually rely on plants for this sort of challenge – Here’s a Scabious flower…

…and, although the name suggests it’s blue, it looks very Lilac to me!
