Sharing Sounds

Alasdair came home for a short 3 days over Easter but we got some music in together. Al loves some of the sounds associated with his Anime TV shows and shared this Bebop Jazz…

…and this pretty piece…

I found a piece of classic Blues by Alvin Lee…

…Once with the band Ten Years After. And I also shared a very old David Bowie song…

I’m sure that at least the last one of those tracks is well known but, did any of those them capture your imagination? Let me know 😀👍

  1. I actually enjoyed all of these, Martin. I love Bowie, so that’s a given, but I didn’t know Alvin Lee, and I really enjoyed this as an introduction. I will do a little more searching on my own. Cowboy Bebop is also very compatible with styles I enjoy, The second one, “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” is very interesting and pleasant. It’s not a style I find myself drawn to, but I can honestly say I enjoyed it. It’s fun to have introductions to music that you enjoy. Very cool!

  2. I found the Cowboy Bebop interesting too Debra – It reminded me of TV theme music from the 1960’s and while sharing with Alasdair, I juxtaposed it with the theme from the series Ironside. Alvin Lee is very much of our generation – With the band Ten Years After from 1968 to 1973 and was still playing until he passed on in 2013 😎👍
