#PrideComesStandard

It’s been a hectic week at work with deadlines looming on a big code and server deployment so I apologise to you all for not posting much this week. I thought I’d borrow the hashtag from Peterbilt’s twitter because it applies very much to what I and my colleagues do too! But to illustrate the post I do have two Peterbilts that I enjoy driving when I get the chance to relax before bedtime. Fittingly, the Sun is going down in both images…

    1. Hi Debra – I think that truck driving, like train and bus driving, in the real world is a form of vocation. I imagine that the unsocial hours and the days away from home can be hard on family life. But computer truck driving is a different thing in that respect – you don’t have to leave the house and you can plan your driving around things like cooking the dinner 🙂 I am thinking about writing a post on why the trucking sim games are so appealing to some of us – I’ll add it to the todo list 😉
