Sun-Day, Sunday

Glorious spring sunshine saw the capital and its tourists take to the streets en-mass over the last weekend. We popped down to Butlers Wharf to treat Alasdair to a belated Birthday meal at ASK. Here are some shots taken with the Fuji X-E1 on Sunday on the Southbank and on the way home…

    1. I’m Sure Colline πŸ˜‰ Sadly, though, we have missed out on Winter so far and while we are now getting some beautiful sun it does feel like something passed us by this year 😦 Congratulations on 500 posts πŸ™‚

    1. We’ve been having a few glorious days over the past week Patti – see my Grand Day Out post for the midweek sunshine πŸ™‚ Alasdair enjoyed his meal and has discovered that he likes Rocket, so I think he might try the Proscuitto e Rucola starter next time πŸ˜‰

  1. so good to see that it is not raining! Happy birthday to Alasdair, and perhaps you will have a little burst of winter along with the sunshine if you are lucky …. not when we are there in June however!

    1. Hi Christine – yes, sun at last. But look at how high the Thames is in the St Pauls shot – It’s still draining the floods from Oxfordshire and I can’t remember ever seeing it so high in central London. I’ll pass on your good wishes to Alasdair. His Birthday was back in December just before Christmas but his Mum was in hospital at the time so we had to put it on the back burner. This was the first proper family outing since October last year.

  2. The sun is finally shining again — here and there. Am so glad that the figurative sun was also shining on your family on a very special day. Happy birthday, Alasdair!
