Old Git On The Bus…

Homeward Bound

Homeward Bound

With a Son just itching to get home!

  1. An unusual photo Martin. Looks like it was taken through wet glass

  2. Wonderful shot . . .
    Looks a bit intense . . . like George C. Scott!

  3. That’s who it is — George C. Scott!
    (You’re sure it’s you?)

  4. thirdhandart says:

Looks like you had a long, tiring day before you got on the bus. But, it’s a very clever capture nonetheless!

    • Hi Theresa – We were coming back from Sudbury where Wingate & Finchley had been playing Hendon. So it had been a long afternoon of camera work 🙂

  5. Martin your picture look like in the movie scene nice shot 🙂

  6. I rarely see photos of a father and his son, and when I do, I always admire the bond and affection between the two and the adventures and stories they make. Stunning photo my friend.
Wishing you and your family all the bountiful blessings for the New Year!

    • Thank you – I had a quick laugh when you mentioned adventures. Just a short London bus trip… Well relatively short and I have to admit that it is the first time I’ve visited Sudbury so I guess it was an adventure of a minor nature 🙂

My very best wishes to you and your family for 2012 – I hope it is a great year for you all!

Everything about this photo is brilliant! … from the dirty glass, the sparcely occupied seats, facial expressions and especially, shooting it in black and white, brilliant!

Best of everything to you and yours in 2012! 🙂

  8. intriguing photo…like looking though a two-way mirror…

hope your new year continues to be adventure-packed… 🙂

  9. A wonderful image, Martin…
and a very happy New Year to you and your family as well!

  10. Interesting way the photo came out. It is like a painting where the artist
wanted to blur the subjects just slightly. Very nice ….

    • Thanks Isadora – The artist would have liked a sharp rendition but the bus was in motion and the shutter speed was slow … 😉 Thank you very much for dropping by. I wish you a wonderful 2012 🙂

  11. I love this self-portrait! Wonderful work…….

  12. Looks so natural. COOL
