Weekly Photo Challenge: Old

1931 AEC Regal Coach

1931 AEC Regal Coach

Celebrating her 80th birthday this year – this coach is genuinely old…

The photo – of course – is not 🙂

(But I had fun playing in Photoshop)

In 2010 it was the 80th anniversary of Green Line services and a special run was made along the original route from Victoria Embankment to Guildford.  You can see colour photos of T219 and the other old vehicles taking part in that event here

  1. Tony McGurk says:

What a beautiful piece of history that is & you photo sure did it justice. We used to have Greenline coaches here in Tasmania & they changed to Redline years ago when I was a kid for some reason. They are still called Redline to this day.

  2. beautiful photograph. timeless really.

  3. Kamakshi says:

Lovely Shot! Monochrome does something really magical to pictures…it brings a little more imagination to the visuals 🙂

    • Hi Kamakshi, Thank you – I’ll admit straight away that I really love the green livery of these vehicles. But, the removal of colour requires us to, at the least, envisage what the scene was in real life . That is the power of B&W – we have to think more about the image.
